Một hôm, sứ giả của nhà vua đến tìm người tài đánh giặc.

One day, the king's messenger came looking for talented people to fight the invaders.

Cậu bé bỗng cất tiếng nói: mẹ ơi, hãy mời sứ giả vào đây.

The boy suddenly spoke: Mother, please invite the messenger in.

Cậu xin nhà vua một con ngựa sắt, một cây gậy sắt và một bộ áo giáp.

He asked the king for an iron horse, an iron staff and a suit of armor.

Từ hôm đó, cậu lớn nhanh như thổi, ăn bao nhiêu cũng không no.

From that day, he grew up in no time and could never eat enough.

Cậu cưỡi ngựa sắt ra trận và đánh tan quân giặc.

He rode the iron horse into battle and defeated the enemy army.

Sau đó, cậu bay lên trời. Người dân nhớ ơn và lập đền thờ cậu.

Afterwards he flew up to the sky. The people were grateful and built a temple for him.
